Sizzling Shrimp with Yakisoba Noodles

Image
Sizzling Shrimp with Yakisoba Noodles ~ an out of the every day stir-fry meal that definitely fits the term, "restaurant quality". In our home, we have always enjoyed stir-fry meals and I have quite a few here on the blog. I generally serve my stir fry meals with rice, but today it's all about the noodle. Yakisoba noodles to be exact. I've never cooked with them before and was ready for the challenge to create a recipe using the noodles. Read more »

Italian Zucchini Fritters

Image
Italian Zucchini Fritters ~ when I bit into one of these they had a creamy interior texture with that light yet crunchy exterior and with all of the Italian spices it reminded me of a meatball . With zucchini starting to grow rapidly, I needed to come up with some various ways to use it. My first thought was to do a "Zucchini Parmesan" and sliced some up to do just that. I already had my sauce and some shredded mozzarella so that is the direction I was going. Was. Then someone in the blogging world dropped off a zucchini Parmesan recipe in one of the food groups I belong to and not wanting to appear like I was copycatting, I switched gears. I am not unhappy whatsoever in my decision to make these Italian Zucchini Fritters because these are the bomb! Read more »

Cranberry Pinwheels

#FreakyFriday Summer Edition ~ Cranberry Pinwheels are perfect little bites for entertaining and they look so festive! Welcome to another edition of Freaky Friday. This is my fourth time with the group and I am excited to bring you a super simple recipe that would be a great addition to your holiday appetizers. Just in case you don't know what Freaky Friday is, I'll tell you. It all started with Michaela of An Affair From The Heart. What happens is a group of bloggers get assigned (in secret) another person's blog to pick any recipe and blog it on their own blog. We all post at the same time on a specific day and all of the recipes are linked together. It's been fun getting to know other bloggers, their writing styles and the kind of food they love to eat and blog about. Read more »

Sno Peas and Mushrooms

Image
Sno Peas and Mushrooms are a delightful combination in this simple side dish recipe for healthy, lighter eating! These are two vegetables I really adore. And, when paired together are so delicious. Whether you add them into a stir fry meal or simply pan saute, this combination is a winner. I have also made them with a touch of soy sauce as a vegetable side dish, but tonight I just wanted something light, something crunchy and something delicious. Rather than a salad I opted for Sno Peas and Mushrooms. Super easy, so come along and see how it's done. Read more »

Broccoli and Mushroom Rice and Roni

Image
Broccoli and Mushroom Rice and Roni ~ the tasty side dish that is ready in twenty minutes! When I was younger and branched out on my own, the boxed variety of this side dish was a staple. Inexpensive and since I love rice, well perfect for a single gal. Now that I am much much older, I am still a lover of rice, but discovered I can make this very quickly in my own home. Read more »

Buffalo Ranch Chicken, Bacon, Monterey Jack Grilled Cheese

Image
Buffalo Ranch Chicken, Bacon, Monterey Jack Grilled Cheese ~ a surprise in every bite! Back when I owned Deep River Provisions®, one of the sandwiches I had on the daily menu was a "Chicken, Bacon, Monterey Jack Cheese with Mango". That was served in a wrap and it was one of the most popular lunch items on my menu. When it came down to being selected for another round with Moore's Sauces and Marinades I went back to what I knew was good.  This Buffalo Ranch Chicken, Bacon, Monterey Jack Grilled Cheese is not quite the same as there are no mango's, but it is just as delicious and with a slight kick to it from the Creamy Ranch Buffalo Wing Sauce.
