I associate spring with Easter and vice versa. Growing up (in a Catholic household) Easter also meant getting new clothes, hats and shoes for Easter Sunday. There was the coloring of eggs (for the Easter Bunny to hide), daffodils and other spring flowers began to bloom and we would be spending Easter Sunday with family and extended family. With Easter just around the corner I am looking forward to spending time with family in Massachusetts. I was asked to make dessert and wondered about a layered cake, however traveling by car for two and a half hours I worried the dessert might take a spill and look shipwrecked by the time we got there.
