Have I told you how much I miss cooking for more than just my husband and me? It's difficult to cut back when you are so geared toward cooking for a family and suddenly so it seems, your kids are all grown up and living lives of their own. When my kids were here and both of us held down full-time jobs, getting dinner on the table every night in a reasonable amount of time was often quite the ordeal. Proud Mary Cocktail

I received a bottle of Stirrings Bloody Mary Mix and rimmer to facilitate my review and create my cocktail recipe.  No other compensation was received. I associate a great Bloody Mary cocktail with two things: A good brunch and the best drink referred to as "the hair of the dog". Mushroom Risotto

Mushroom Risotto ~ toasting and creaming Arborio rice into a scrumptious risotto! While the cats away the mouse gets to play - in the kitchen that is! My husband has gone up north with his brother to work on his brothers eventual retirement home and I have five glorious days by myself. Whenever my husband has left for a few days it gives me an opportunity to cook things that only I enjoy. Risotto is one of those dishes. Read more »
